On August 19, the front page of the People's Daily featured an article titled "Focusing on Innovation and Intelligent Manufacturing to Enhance Development Advantages", highlighting the experiences and practices of AUX Group in staying true to its core business, strengthening the real economy, and adhering to the path of high-quality development.
This report is a high recognition of all the employees; it is a shared honor for everyone at AUX. At the same time, it serves as a motivation, encouraging us to continuously uphold the principle of “Quality is the No. 1 Priority”, deeply advance technological innovation, root ourselves in industry, expand globally, and closely align with the company's “Three Major Strategies.” Relying on a scientific management system and effective tools, we will promote the intelligent upgrading of the enterprise, unwaveringly pursue the path of high-quality development, inject new momentum into industry growth, and make greater contributions to national strategies.
The original text is as follows:
President Xi Jinping emphasized, "High-quality development imposes higher demands on the development of the private economy. Private enterprises must implement the new development philosophy, deeply understand the shortcomings and challenges in the development of the private economy, transform the development mode, adjust the industrial structure, shift growth drivers, stay true to their core business, strengthen the real economy, and consciously follow the path of high-quality development."
At the air-conditioning manufacturing base, an electronic control board can be produced every 8 seconds; on the information technology platform, vast amounts of information flow automatically and smoothly through R&D, production, and sales processes; power equipment breaks foreign market monopolies. In recent years, AUX Group has consistently adhered to the path of high-quality development, focusing on innovation and intelligent manufacturing to enhance its development advantages.
Innovative Upgrades in Products and Services
"Hello, Xiao Ao, please set the temperature to 25 degrees Celsius." In the exhibition hall of AUX Group's headquarters, a staff member gave a command to the air conditioner, which promptly adjusted the temperature. This smart air conditioner is equipped with over 7,000 command words. Behind this is AUX Group's self-developed large-model voice recognition technology.
In 2021, AUX Group actively invested in the R&D of voice recognition technology and collaborated with universities such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University. However, the initial product had some shortcomings—limited command words and long response times. To overcome these limitations, the R&D team conducted 11 months of market research, deeply analyzed and refined customer needs, and continuously iterated on the technology. They eventually improved the response speed from 1 second to 0.68 seconds and the recognition rate from 99% to 99.67%. Today, this smart air conditioner has obtained 60 related patents.
At AUX Group, such smart products now account for 80% of its offerings. To date, the group holds 17 internationally leading technologies and over 20,000 patents, and has participated in the formulation of 1 international standard, 55 national standards, 16 industry standards, and 74 group standards.
Focusing on market demands such as intelligence, AUX Group has invested over 2 billion yuan in R&D over the past three years. With continuous technological innovation, the group has achieved industry-leading levels in fields such as frequency conversion control, and its product competitiveness continues to improve. AUX Group has six R&D centers worldwide, with more than 5,000 R&D technical staff.
"In the future, AUX home appliances will continue to pursue intelligent upgrades, integrating more intelligent systems to provide customers with a more delightful and comfortable living experience," said Li Weiqing, Executive Vice President of AUX Group.
Intelligent-Driven Quality and Efficiency Enhancement
In AUX Group's plastics workshop, plastic pellets are fed into injection molding machines via a centralized feeding system, and after 38 seconds, they are transformed into air conditioner casings.
"The workshop used to have over 170 workers; now only three technicians are needed to handle equipment adjustments and exceptions, greatly improving overall efficiency," said Lu Jiacheng, production manager of AUX Group's plastics plant.
The electronic control board is the "brain" of the air conditioner. In AUX Group's electronics plant, raw materials are automatically sorted into smart warehouses and then delivered to production lines by automated guided vehicles. It takes just 8 seconds to complete the production of one electronic control board—the electronics plant's overall automation rate has reached 95%. Relying on intelligent scheduling systems, manufacturing execution systems, equipment interconnection systems, and "5G+ industrial internet," the factory achieves real-time collection and monitoring of equipment, materials, and product information. "The entire logistics and information flow is fully connected; we can track the order's progress in any factory at any process stage, and know when it will enter the warehouse," said Cui Xuan, plant manager of the electronics plant.
As early as 2013, AUX Group identified intelligence as a crucial development direction and actively built smart factories. Currently, AUX Group has four smart factories, achieving automation in production processing, transparency in manufacturing processes, precision in quality control, and efficiency in warehousing and logistics.
AUX Group's Ningbo air conditioner factory has achieved 100% interconnection of key equipment, with an intelligence rate exceeding 85% and a 100% automation rate at key quality control points. "With the successful implementation of the industrial internet platform, departments can quickly obtain critical business data, significantly improving efficiency," said Li Junfeng, assistant to the executive president of AUX Air Conditioner Co., Ltd.
Rooted Locally, Expanding Globally
Recently, Ningbo Sanxing Medical Electric Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of AUX Group, won a transformer product order in Greece worth approximately 466 million yuan. This year, AUX Group's overseas business has grown by 50% year-on-year.
Sanxing Medical Electric provides integrated intelligent power distribution solutions. In 2019, the Swedish National Electric Power Bureau conducted an open tender, and Sanxing Medical Electric competed with other global industry giants. Despite the challenges, Sanxing Medical Electric successfully won the bid with its product quality, which exceeded international standards in eight key indicators by 30% to 50%, and with its 99.9% data collection rate.
Meeting overseas market demands and expanding product usage scenarios are key strategies for AUX Group to expand its global market. "Our 'Xiao Ao Direct Sale' App has successfully entered markets in Thailand, Malaysia, and other regions. Our air conditioning products are also being further adapted to local living scenarios. For example, since Malaysians like to lay carpets, which can cause lint to enter the air conditioner, we have made improvements to the product. We are confident of achieving better results in overseas markets," said Li Weiqing.
"Stay rooted locally while expanding globally." AUX Group Chairman Zheng Jianjiang stated that AUX Group will, with a clear strategic path and reliable end products, continuously enhance the innovation content of its technology, the value of its brand, and the green content of its transformation.
